Lake Kissimmee Angler Academy

Aspiring anglers, mark your calendar for a day of family fun at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Come meet bass fishing legend Bobby Lane during Saturday’s Academy and the staff of the prestigious International Game Fishing Association who are bringing their ever popular “Passport to Fishing” program to Camp Mack.

Designed exclusively to introduce beginning anglers to the equipment and basic techniques of fishing, “Passport to Fishing” has introduced thousands of kids to the sport of recreational fishing in an engaging and hands-on manner. Teaching stations are organized around different subjects including basic tackle selection, knot tying, fish handling, de-hooking, fishing safety and environmental stewardship. On their journey to becoming an angler, each student collects a stamp in their newly–issued IGFA fishing passport when completing a station. When all passport stamps are collected, “Passport to Fishing” graduates will be provided a rod and reel set to use during an individual instructions and a dockside tournament with help from IGFA staff instructors and members of the Bobby Lane Cup. Afterwards, an afternoon of music and games at the camp stage with a s’mores eating competition among newly minted fishing graduates.

Enrollment is limited to 75. Early Bird Registration Fee before November 1st: $20 ($25 afterwards or the day of the Academy). ALL PROCEEDS GO TO IGFA!
