Blackfly Lodge, Bahamas

Blackfly Lodge

The Blackfly Lodge sits majestically overlooking the harbour of Schooner Bay, incorporating a lifetime of ideas collected by fly fishing authority Vaughn Cochran. This newly created community recreates the harmony of an authentic Bahamian waterfront community, and founded on the principles of sustainable design and living.

Located on the southeastern shore of Great Abaco Island, just down from the popular Winding Bay Ritz Carlton Club, The Black Fly Bonefish Lodge overlooks a serene harbour and the indigo blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean just beyond. The centerpiece of the lodge is the new Great House, with its elegant plantation styled architecture. The ground floor is dedicated to the best in dining and socializing; the second floor has eight guestrooms, each opening onto a wrap-around balcony with sweeping waterfront views.

All new, and better than ever! Never mind the world-class flats fishing. Forget about those incredible dinners complete with an endless menu of fish stories. Don’t’ think twice about the magnificent beach and gin clear waters. Just remember, a visit to the Blackfly Lodge may cause you never to return home, so be sure to get your affairs in order before you show up here!
